Public Sector Audit Appointments Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Crawley as the company’s new Chief Executive. Mr Crawley will join PSAA in mid-October and will lead the company’s work as the “appointing person” responsible for auditor appointments to nearly 500 local authorities and police bodies throughout England.
Steve Freer, PSAA’s Chairman, said,
“We are delighted to have attracted a Chief Executive of Tony Crawley’s calibre and look forward to the next stages of the company’s development under his leadership. His wealth of knowledge and front-line experience of auditing local public bodies will be invaluable in his new role. “
Mr Crawley is currently a Director of KPMG LLP, specialising in local public audit. He was previously a District Auditor for District Audit, the delivery arm of the former Audit Commission. He is very active in professional networks, currently serving as the Vice President of CIPFA in the Midlands and as a member of the HFMA East Midlands Branch Committee.
Tony Crawley said,
“I am very much looking forward to working with PSAA’s Board, staff and partners to help promote the importance of local audit as we move into a new phase for the company. We will build on the excellent foundations which have been forged by the team since the company began its work in 2015.”
