PSAA’s recent procurement of local audit services was a tense and testing experience. From its outset it was a huge challenge to secure sufficient capacity for all the opted-in bodies. Steve Freer, PSAA’s Chair, in a recent article discusses the importance of strengthening and developing the local audit system, in readiness for the next main procurement.
The article identifies the challenges and risks to be confronted to enable us to approach the next procurement with confidence and optimism. It also confirms that PSAA is ready to do everything we can as part of a collective systemwide effort to deliver the critical changes required.
